Love your kitchen, day and night

At Kitchen Culture we always talk to our customers about the importance of lighting to enhance their new kitchen. It is so important to get the right blend of light for what you use your kitchen for, and in the correct places.

It goes back to our key message - making your room fit for you, your very own 'Kitchen Culture'. If your room is used purely as a functional kitchen space, then it needs different lighting to a communal room. If you entertain, then mood lighting is important. If your a night owl or hate bright lights early in the morning, then you choose the options that are right for you.

After a recent project, we decided to take some photos by day and night. The client opted for a modern, handleless kitchen and the room looked amazing with the natural light coming in from velux windows and a large bifold door.

But in my opinion it looked even better by night.

We took the time to talk through the options with the customer to ensure we met their brief. The island was a key feature in the room, so a mixture of spots and pendant lights were placed to really emphasise it correctly. Plinth spots and unit underlighting allowed more subtle lighting options and the blue LEDs in the hood really added the wow. With numerous options, the right mood can be created for the right occasion.

The customers were delighted with the final look as were we. A special mention to Neil Rogers from N Rogers Electrical for his support with this project, and GSN Conservatories for the wider extension and building work.

Do give us a call to discuss your plans. We would love to hear from you.
